T O P I C R E V I E WBelbaSo the question is : do you think that your dominant planet influnces or is even a prevailing factor in your music taste? I've noticed that I strongly prefer upbeat and syncopated music, mostly listen to jazz (love Gypsy, ethno and Latin jazz), swing, funk and lots and lots of different ethno music (Balkan, flamenco, rumba, arabic,...) And I'm Uranian, big time but might also be my sag moon (squaring virgo venus). What are your experiences? MoonfishFrom what I've noticed, yea to a certain extent.Dominant planet is PlutoI like Techno, Electronic/Dance, and Rock/Pop Alternative (ex: Daft Punk, Eiffel 65, Coldplay, Phil collins, Ellie Goulding, Samantha James, Sting, and Creed)I also like Dubstep I'm so cappySaturnI like electronic music (especially dubstep and drum&bass), pop, rock, metal, r&b, symphonic and classical music, indie, choirs...Generally I have a diverse taste in art.And I love such inventions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqMdUQvN-Dk Maybe it's my Aquarius Venus?mirage29 Doux RêveI don't think there's a pattern..No idea if it's even something you can see in the chart.I mostly listen to metal and any variation of rock music but I also enjoy electronica and house. When I feel relaxed I like dream-pop, shoegaze, chillwave, trip-hop..Basically I listen to all kinds of stuff. Now that I think about it, my tastes kind of reflect the aspects in my chart:- metal = Mars-Pluto/Moon/Saturn T-square- more chill stuff = Venus/Jupiter conj. & Moon sextile Venus/JupiterI guess the Gemini rising's responsible for the love of variety.vickymadness.I'm so cappy quote:I guess the Gemini rising's responsible for the love of variety. What about Virgo? It's my ascendant and it's ruled by Mercury too. Or Libra moon?------------------Do you have some chocolate?mirage29 frankie2912I have two dominant planets..according to astro.com, Pluto and Jupiter are equal in my chart.I like dark, sad, brooding, angsty, emotional music. I mostly listen to harder rock, metal, grunge, but I also listen to some bluegrass, reggae, ethnic stuff (i really like middle eastern sounds), electronic, dance...but it all has something in common: minor chords. SaturnineMothMercury-Jupiter are my dominant planets depending on which source I use to calculate, over all though... Mercury is the strongest. But, it is also the most aspected planet in my chart... So, I think yes, that would make sense given how my taste in music is highly eclectic and ever-changing. I prefer music that includes a lot of different elements and generally complicated compositions with classical undertones in some respect. Everything from international, classical, choral, operatic, symphonic metal, to hip hop, to real oldies...(I have a huge obsession with music from certain eras, like the 1920's to 1940's, blues, swing, honky-tonk, blue grass, jazz fusion, ska, punk, classic rock, reggaeton, spiritual-new age, rockabilly, synthpop, industrial rock, darkwave, to whatever else is out there. the list goes on... I'm pretty sure there's something in every possible genre that I have a liking for... it's just a matter of whether I find it mentally stimulating or emotionally provocative enough to really stay interested in it long. It matches my Mercury-Jupiter placements very well, since they fall in my 4h, but Cap Merc, and Sag Jup ~ stellium with Nep Sag - tight aspects to Scorp Mars-Pluto, Moon, and my Ascendant. My Dominant sign is Sagittarius~ so I really like to explore everything out there for expression, and inspiration. (Cancer, Scorpio, and Gemini are my top dominant signs.... I think my taste at any given moment is subject to my mood at that time... I'm a moody-bugger too! Planet QueenI'm a big music fan. But I only listen to obscure music.
